THE BEACHES
Walking on fine white sand. Swimming in transparent blue water. Sit in the shade of resin and palm trees. Saint-Barthélémy offers breathtaking beaches.
The pearl of Saint-Barth! Luxurious hotels, gourmet restaurants, trendy bars and long white sandy beaches. Heavenly! The Baie de St Jean is just what you'd expect of the island. All in a chic, refined ambience.
Close to Gustavia and accessible in 20 minutes by footpath or boat, Plage du Gouverneur is one of the island's most beautiful beaches. Bordered by an arc of vegetation, it is distinguished by its intimate atmosphere and calm ambiance. It offers breathtaking scenery. Ideal for a picnic, you'll also find the Santa Fé restaurant.
Grand Cul-de-Sac beach is a shallow lagoon. It's the perfect beach to bring your family and children to. This magnificent white-sand beach is bordered by three luxury hotels: the Séréno, the Guanahani and the Barthélémy. The lagoon is popular with windsurfers and kite surfers (school on site).
The second largest beach on the island. With its soft, pinkish sand, Saline beach is one of Saint-Barth's most famous. Far from the hustle and bustle, it's one of the few beaches where you can feel alone in the world. The crystal-clear waters of the lagoon are perfect for a pleasant swim while enjoying the breathtaking view of Coco islet.
Colombier beach is one of the protected areas of the Saint-Barth nature reserve. Accessible on foot, it is also a regulated anchorage zone for boats. The ban on fishing allows a multitude of fish, sea turtles and starfish to offer you superb snorkeling.
To the northwest of the island, this is one of Saint-Barth's largest beaches. It is home to two of the island's most prestigious hotels, the Cheval Blanc and Taïwana. Perfect for a stroll or a chic lunch along the deep ocean waters. Plage des Flamands is also popular with surfers on days when the swell is high.
Shell Beach is unique! It boasts white sand dotted with shells and turquoise waters. Ideal for snorkeling, it's teeming with small fish. You can also eat right in the water.
Popular with families, Lorient beach is ideal for young children. Protected by the coral reef, the beach is distinguished by its small pools, guaranteeing calm family bathing. It's also a favorite with surfers for its offshore rollers.
Located on the island's north coast, it is the only gray-sand beach. Surrounded by coconut palms, Marigot beach is a nature reserve with magnificent crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
The wild coast of Saint-Barth! Swimming here is strongly discouraged, but the raging ocean offers an atypical spectacle. The beach at Grand Fond attracts visitors with its many shells and pebbles. It's the perfect place for an exotic stroll.
